Ben Lomond Explorer

Weekends only. For spectacular views across the National Park, take an exhilarating hike up Ben Lomond, the most southerly of Scotland’s Munros from the tourist route at Rowardennan.

Start your exploration of this area at the Rowardennan Youth Hostel where you can decide on your days itinerary. For spectacular views across the National Park you can climb Scotland’s most southerly Munro, Ben Lomond.

Owned by the National Trust for Scotland, the path takes you to the summit of Ben Lomond (3,192 ft). This rocky trail is well trodden to the summit with much of the hillside designated as a site of Special Scientific Interest.

As with all mountain walks, suitable footwear and clothing must be worn. Dogs must be kept on a lead as there is livestock on the hill.

Good to know

• Bring a picnic for the beach or your walk up Ben Lomond
• There are facilities aboard all of our boats

• Paths here can be muddy and unsuitable for pushchairs
• Live commentary on all our boats

Depart: Weekends at 8.45am Tarbet to Rowardennnan (45 minute crossing)
