Stirling and many of the surrounding areas are very well serviced by local bus routes which offer a great way to visit many of the top attractions in the area without the stresses of driving or the exertion of walking. The two main bus departure points in the city are Murray Place and The Bus station, both of which are located a very short walk from the city centre and the train station.

Getting to Stirling Castle

The bus runs every 15 minutes from 7.30am – 6.30pm Mon – Sat. For more information about this service click here. Parking is exceptionally limited at Stirling Castle during the summer months, if you are driving it is worth finding a parking a space in town if you are not using the park and ride service.

National Wallace Monument

From the bus station it is possible to catch regular buses which pass close to the Wallace Monument. Services 54, 62, and UL all stop at Wallace High School and from here it is a very short walk up the hill to the Wallace Monument.

Bridge of Allan

The Beautiful Victorian spa town of Bridge of Allan is also easily accessible from Murray Place. Services 54 and 54A depart very regularly and it is only a 10 minute journey.

Battle of Bannockburn

The X39 service leaves from Stirling Bus Station and stops at Whins of Milton which is the closest stop to the Bannockburn Experience.
