The River Forth is now open for business!
Shore Road Pontoon
Offering spectacular views from a new perspective, residents and tourists can now make the most of the River Forth thanks to the new pontoon installed at Riverside.
The pontoon offers access to the water for kayaking and rowing and is also available for docking boats so that you can berth and explore Stirling. Mooring is currently provided free of charge for all visitors!
Measuring an impressive 35-metres long the pontoon boasts a 30-metre landing stage with an additional 5-metre section for rowing boats and kayaks.

The river offers a meandering route through Stirling where you can spend your time spotting tourist hotspots like Stirling Castle and the National Wallace Monument from a different viewpoint. Don’t forget to take pictures and tag us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram!
Visiting Stirling
The pontoon is a short walk to Stirling City Centre where you can find an abundance of things to do from visiting the top attractions, grabbing a bite to eat or hitting the high street shops!
To use the pontoon requires filling out an online booking form 24 hours prior to arrival. Once your booking is approved you will be emailed confirmation with the access code for the pontoon gate. To book to use the pontoon please click here.
