King Street: A Place of Quality
Image copyright Stirling Council Archives
King Street, once at the foot of the historic Royal Burgh, would find itself at the heart of the new commercial Stirling from the early nineteenth century.
This exhibition celebrates the commerce and enterprise evident in the making of one of Stirling’s most beautiful streets.
The exhibition also marks the end of the King Street Funding Initiative 2012-18 where investment of some £800,000 has been made in the historic fabric of King Street. The work has been delivered by Stirling City Heritage Trust (SCHT), a Scottish Charity, with investment from Historic Environment Scotland, Stirling Council and property owners.
